About the banner pic

This was the first mushroom cappuccino I ever had. We were in Annecy, France and thought we had some trouble communicating with the waitress, who kept saying cappuccino in response to our order of mushroom soup. When the cappuccino glasses of greyish-brown liquid and whipped cream froth came with the accompanying fritter studded with black and white sesame seeds, I thought she had brought our coffee early. Then I dipped the fritter into the liquid, and found that it was savoury and mushroomy and that the whipped cream added a rich yet light sweetness to the crunchy bite.

It turns out we had communicated perfectly with the waitress :)
